Lauren Daigle Ties Carrie Underwood For Longest Reigning #1 by a Female Artist

After numerous accolades and honors, Lauren Daigle adds another one this week. Now she ties with Carrie Underwood for holding the longest #1 reigning song on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart by a female artist. Daigle's "You Say" spends its 26th week at #1, making her tie with Carrie Underwood's 2014 hit "Something in the Water" which also spent 26 weeks on the top position.
Only two songs have held onto the #1 position longer than Daigle and Underwood: Hillsong United's "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" (61 weeks at No. 1 starting in December 2013) and sister act Hillsong Worship's "What a Beautiful Name" (37 frames beginning in February 2017). Both of those songs are also sung by women: "Oceans," by Taya Smith, and "Name," by Brooke Ligertwood.
"You Say" also continues its crossover at radio, debuting at No. 40 on the Pop Songs airplay chart, while bulleting at No. 8 on Adult Pop Songs and No. 19 on Adult Contemporary.
