Kelly Price Releases the First of a Trilogy of Releases with “Sing Pray Love Vol. 1: Sing”

On June 3, Kelly Price returned with her sixth studio album, the first instalment among a trilogy of releases "Sing Pray Love Vol. 1: Sing." The album has so far charted at no. 64 on Billboard 200 and no. 10 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Chart.
Kelly Price first came to fame when she was overheard singing in the dressing rehearsals by Mariah Carey. Carey later introduced Price to her then husband Sony Colombia's then CEO Tommy Mottola. As a reslt, Price began singing backing vocals for Mariah Carey's no. 1 hit "Fantasy" and Notorious B.I.G.'s "Mo Money Mo Problems." Price's big break came when she and Faith Evans were invited to sing with Whitney Houston on her 1998 comeback smash "Heartbreak Hotel." Price later went to record for Island Records where she charted with two Platinum selling albums "Soul of a Woman" and "Mirror Mirror."
Now partnering once again with long time collaborator Shep Crawford, Price releases "Sing Pray Love: Vol. 1." The album is preceded by the single "It's My Time," and it features a duet with former American Idol champ Ruben Studdard. Also significant is Price's cover of the old Chaka Khan ballad "Through the Fire."
