Michael W. Smith Releases “Crashing Waves” Single Today
Multi-Platinum artist, best-selling author and acclaimed actor Michael W. Smith reveals new music today from his studio album, A Million Lights, releasing Feb. 16 from Rocketown Records and The Fuel Music. "Crashing Waves," a song about the unconditional love of God, joins the USA Today-premiered title track / video and Yahoo! Music-premiered "Love Always Wins" to become the third digital single from the album. All three tracks are available now at digital retail and streaming outlets everywhere, including iTunes, Spotify and Amazon.com.
Along with the 13-song A Million Lights, Michael launches for the first time in his career a second, full-length album in the same month. Leading a diverse chorus of voices, Michael's live worship album Surrounded streets Feb. 23 and features the declarative "Surrounded (Fight My Battles)," which is available as an instant download with each iTunes preorder of the album. The song also world-premiered as the first video from the project Christmas Eve on Michael's Facebook and Dec. 29 on YouTube garnering hundreds of thousands of views so far on these platforms.
Michael is further offering listeners the first-ever opportunity to automatically add all four new singles highlighted above to their Spotify accounts and be informed as new music from A Million Lights and Surrounded is released. Links to this Spotify Pre-Save campaign for each album follows:

All the singles from these albums are also available on Spotify playlists like "Top Christian," "Worship Now," "epicPRAISE," "Ultimate Indie" and "Dance Around The House," while special, limited edition autographed versions of both albums are available for preorder now from Amazon.com.
In many ways, Michael is a statesman, at the fulcrum of Christian music in pivotal moments. It is said that the heart of a lion never goes away, and Michael isn't content staying with the equilibrium. At a loss for what his voice should be toward the end of 2016, this prolific artist comes roaring back with two full-length albums in a countercultural response to the divisive national sentiment of 2017 and the mean-spirited banter on social media.
"Until the world ends, music is the most powerful language there is," says Michael. "It can transform your life on every level, not just the spiritual. It can help people reconnect with why they're here."
