Taylor Swift is currently in Asia wrapping up the final leg of her hugely successful RED Tour and above you can watch a 5 minute clip of her morning TV press conference in Shanghai, China on Thursday, May 29th.
"I've already been working very hard on it and it's already my favorite thing that I've ever created. So the idea that after Asia, I get to go back and finish everything and get everything completely done and completely wrapped up for a new project, it's very exciting," the 24-year-old country singer shares.
Fans have always appreciated how honest her songwriting has been and Taylor shares how she hopes that fans can connect to her lyrics because they have experienced the same things at some point as well.
Taylor Swift is one of the top selling artists of the last several years. She received a Best New Artist nomination at the 2008 Grammy Awards. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008 and became the best-selling album of 2009 in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, with Swift becoming the youngest ever Album of the Year winner. Swift's third album, 2010's Speak Now, sold over one million copies in its first week of US release. The album's third single, "Mean", won two Grammy Awards. In 2012, Swift released her fourth album, Red. Its opening US sales of 1.2 million were the highest recorded in a decade, with Swift becoming the only female artist to have two million-plus opening weeks. The singles "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble" were worldwide hits.
Swift's was won seven Grammy Awards, twelve Billboard Music Awards, eleven Country Music Association Awards and seven Academy of Country Music Awards. To date, she has sold over 26 million albums and 75 million digital single downloads.
