Linkin Park and Friends “Shine Light on Mental Health” with Chester Bennington Concert

Friends, fans and members of Linkin Park themselves gathered last night in Los Angeles to give honor to Chester Bennington.
The Linkin Park vocalist died at the age of 41 last July, with authorities citing suicide as the cause of his death. The Linkin Park Celebrates Life in Honor of Chester Bennington concert was held at the Hollywood Bowl with which a livestream was made available on YouTube for fans all over the world to view.
Aside from paying respect to their singer and friend, Linkin Park also sought to draw attention to the importance of mental health. Mike Shinoda and the rest of the band shared the official One More Light Fund link on the YouTube livestream.
"Give to the One More Light Fund to bring light to the world and shine a light on mental health," the message states. The One More Light Fund was founded in memory of Bennington.
The page says that these efforts are aimed towards “celebrating Chester and his passion for helping others.” The fund will also be used for donating to his preferred Music for Relief programs, such as the Solar Suitcases that offer solar electricity kits for secluded health clinics that operate with no electricity.
"The fund will also shine a light on mental health; helping individuals and families coping with mental and emotional struggles,” the message further states.
During the past months, Linkin Park has been taking to Twitter and posting their favorite videos of the late singer. Prior to their show on Friday, the award-winning band shared a clip of the Phoenix, Arizona native belting out “Believe It or Not” in 2010.
Guests who performed at the concert included Blink 182, Sum 41, Alanis Morissette, and Avenged Sevenfold, to name a few. Video testimonials from Metallica, Jared Leto, and Paul McCartney were also shown together with a wide range of Bennington’s clips while on- and off-stage.
