HILLSONG UNITED RECEIVES FIRST CAREER NO. 1 RADIO SONG WITH "OCEANS"
Worship band, Hillsong UNITED, have added another milestone to their musical journey with their first No. 1 song of their career with their song "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)". This song is off of their latest album ZION, which released in February 2013 and is the band's most successful and fastest selling album to date.
Since ZION's release last year, "Oceans" continues to chart on four Billboard single charts, including the Hot 100 (13 weeks), Christian Digital Songs (31 weeks), Hot Christian Songs (31 weeks) and Christian Streaming Songs (22 weeks) charts. UNITED has received an overwhelming response to the song that has been the No. 1 Hot Christian Song for 22 straight weeks. The official lyric video has received more than 9.8 million views.
"Last year when ZION released, we saw 'Oceans' climb the sales charts as well as the positive fan response to this song," shares Grant Hubbard, Capitol CMG Label Group, Vice President/National Promotion. "Knowing the song was so special and resonating with the listeners, we wanted to get it into the hands of the radio programmers. UNITED continues to make history with this album and this song, and we are so thrilled to see them receive their first well-deserved No. 1 radio single."
Hillsong UNITED have always been groundbreakers and showed that again with their latest release, the White Album [Remix Project], they have made history. The album, released March 3, is the first Christian-based album ever to hit No. 1 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
The White Album [Remix Project] also debuted at No.4 on Billboard's Christian Albums chart its first week of charting. The project features a collection of 14 of their most popular songs from previously released UNITED projects, including fan-favorites "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)," "With Everything," "From The Inside Out," "Like An Avalanche" and ten more tracks remixed by various mix engineers and musicians.
ZION, which released February 2013 and topped iTunes Overall Chart and debuted at No. 5 on Billboard's Top 200. ZION also spawned the band's biggest hit with the single "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)," which was on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles for several weeks, peaking at No. 83. Recently featured in Billboard based on the unprecedented success, "Oceans" has been the No. 1 Hot Christian Song for 13 straight weeks and the No. 1 Christian Digital Song for 16 weeks going back to November 2, 2013.
