Stryper Adds Final Tour Dates and VIP Meet & Greets to 30th Anniversary "To Hell with the Devil" Tour
Multi-platinum rock band Stryper has announced additional dates and VIP Meet & Greet packages for this fall's 30th Anniversary To Hell with the Devil Tour. All dates are now announced, and most cities are expected to sell out. For tickets and meet and greet packages, visit www.Stryper.com.
Paying homage to their early days as a band and the hit album that made MTV history, Stryper will return to their fan-favorite yellow and black costumes, and play the full album live. Following the fall tour, Stryper will be taking a hiatus for an indefinite amount of time.
VIP Meet & Greet packages will give fans the opportunity to meet the band, take photos and obtain autographs. VIP packages include exclusive collectibles and early access to the concert venue. Additionally, one lucky VIP Meet & Greet attendee in each city will be awarded an RIAA Certified Platinum To Hell with the Devil award.
Released by Enigma Records on October 24, 1986, the GRAMMY-nominated To Hell with the Devil is the band's third studio album and the first Christian metal album to achieve platinum status. Throughout 1987, the music videos for "Free" and "Honestly" ranked #1 on MTV's list of most requested videos, and the video for "Calling on You" reached #2. Stryper was the first band to ever have two songs in MTV's Top 10 simultaneously.
"Thirty years ago we made the record To Hell With The Devil," says frontman Michael Sweet. "It was a turning point for the band. We saw how amazing our fans are, and the work God had planned for this band. We went from playing clubs to arenas, and we saw lives changed in the most miraculous of ways. We never imagined we would still be here thirty years later alongside the best fans in the world. We're looking forward to hitting the road and seeing all our fans and friends that have helped keep the fire burning, all these years."
Unlike many of their counterparts, Stryper is comprised of all four original members with Michael Sweet on vocals and guitar, Robert Sweet on drums, Tim Gaines on bass and Oz Fox on guitar. Rocking since 1984, Stryper is responsible for such classic '80s metal albums asSoldiers Under Command, To Hell with the Devil and In God We Trust. After a sabbatical for much of the 1990's, Stryper returned strong in the early 21st century. To date, the Dove Award-winning and GRAMMY-nominated band has sold over 10 million records worldwide.
Stryper's To Hell with the Devil Tour is sponsored by Manwell DeCoudres Restaurant Group, The Salty Snapper, Woodstack BBQ Tavern, Pro Shot Basketball and Ucreative.
