August 2016 Christian Music Releases

August is a busy month for Christian music releases. Coming on the first Friday of the month is new singer and songwriter Cindy Gibbs's "Overtaken." Produced by Tom Malkiewicz (Tye Tribett, Israel Houghton, Coffey Anderson), the album brings together a tapesty of dynamic worship.
After Switchfoot and Relient K have dropped their albums in July, it's Skillet's time with "Unleashed." "Unleashed," their new studio album and follow up to their 2013 release Rise, which bowed at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart.
Accompanying Hillsong's first feature movie "Let Hope Arise" is the soundtrack which compiles some of the best Hillsong tues from Hillsong UNITED, Young and Free and Worship. Also on August 12 is the release of Housefires' third album. They are the team that wrote Chris Tomlin's #1 smash "Good Good Father."
Dove Award winning singer/songwriter and syndicated radio show host, Donnie McClurkin, is set to release his seventh solo album, "The Journey (Live)" on August 19, 2016. The dynamic fourteen-track album features eleven re-recorded classics as well as three powerful new song. Rounding up the month are exciting releases from new Gospel act Grace, the soundtrack to the Epic new re-make "Ben Hur," and Southern Gospel favorites, Gaither Vocal Band.
