Hawk Nelson Releases New Video "Diamonds" & Reveals Tour Dates

Contemporary Christian pop-rock act Hawk Nelson has released another successful single. "Diamonds," the title cut of their latest album, has been released as a single together with a new video. The song is already charting at No. 36 National Christian Audience, No. 26 AC Monitored, No. 25 AC Indicator, and No. 24 Hot AC. Forty-four stations are currently onboard, including SiriusXM, WAY FM, JoyFM St. Louis, KJNW Kansas City, KXOJ Tulsa, and WBSN New Orleans.
Says frontman Jon Steingard about the single, "...Sometimes [God] uses the hardest, most intense moments of our struggles and says, 'I'm going to take this, and I'm going to use this for good. And I'm going to make things even better than they were before...I realized that experience parellels the way a diamond is formed. Diamonds start out as a piece of coal...That same rock, being put underground and being put under tons of pressure for a long period of time turns into a diamond which is one of the rarest most beautiful most valuable things on earth...in the same way, God takes the pressures of life and the struggles of life and uses those to shape our hearts, to make us stronger, to make us more beautiful, to turn us into something special and rare and valuable"
Accompanying the release of "Diamonds" is a music video and story-behind-the song video, both self-produced and directed by Steingard, who has been the mastermind behind other video work for the band as well.
The release of the new single, "Diamonds" follows the successful "Drops In The Ocean" from their latest studio album Diamonds. "Drops In The Ocean" spent nine weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's AC indicator, a first for the bandHawk Nelson will be joining Tenth Avenue North on their upcoming spring leg of the "All The Earth Is Holy Ground" tour. The 30+ city tour, with more dates to be announced, is sponsored by Compassion International and will kick off on February 18 in Lake George, NY. Full list of the tour dates listed below.
