Music Producer GAWVI Signs with Lecrae's Reach Records
GAWVI is a Miami-bred producer/DJ/songwriter, he has been known as a producer who has helmed records from a myriad of genres including hip-hop, pop, and electro. His sound has remained unquestionably unique and globally appealing. Today, he has signed with Lecrae's label Reach Records, where he will be releasing his own albums as an artist.
GAWVI's production work has charted #1 on Billboard and iTunes, earned him a Dove Award, and has been featured on MTV, VH1, BET, Fuse, and elsewhere, has positioned Gawvi for massive impact on the world of music at large.
With being a signee of Reach Records, GAWVI has joined the ranks of Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Tedashii, Trip Lee and KB. The artist--whose real name is Gabriel Azucena--is well known in CHH as a top-shelf producer. Having worked with Reach Records for years in production, now fans can hear him sing.
"I'm excited to share this new music with the world," GAWVI said in an official statement. "My first solo album is going to be like nothing we've ever released under the Reach imprint. We're about to really surprise people."
Reach Records have made the annoubcement through a creative football-influenced video. Check out the video here:
GAWVI's new label home praised their signee. "GAWVI has cemented himself as one of the most invigorating producers in recent memory," reads the official announcement post from Reach Records. "His aim is to usher in a new sound, and to redefine the possibilities of what popular music can accomplish. ... After years of maneuvering behind the scenes and masterminding a host of albums and Billboard charting singles, GAWVI is set to venture out as a solo artist. Energized by his travels and his experiences as a husband and new father, he's ready to add to his story via a batch of genre-defying material."
From working under the creative direction of bonafide hitmakers like Rodney Jerkins and Pharrell, to producing chart-topping singles for Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Trip Lee, and more, Gawvi has been cementing himself as one of the most invigorating producers in recent years. As an in-house producer/engineer for Reach Records, his passion is to challenge boundaries and redefine what's possible in the current popular music soundscape. This is only the beginning.
