Big Daddy Weave Makes History When "My Story" Tops 7 Charts

Big Daddy Weave has made chart history today! Their latest single "My Story" is #1 at seven different charts today, including Nielsen BDS' NCA Monitored and AC Monitored, as well as Mediabase's Christian AC Published, among others. "My Story" was co-written by Big Daddy Weave's Mike Weaver and GRAMMY®-nominated songwriter Jason Ingram.
The Dove Award-winning Big Daddy Weave is currently on a five-for-five number one streak at radio, dating back to 2012, when "Love Come To Life" reached number one, followed in order by: "Redeemed," "The Only Name (Yours Will Be)," and "Overwhelmed." "Redeemed" went on to be certified Gold by the RIAA.
The song, "My Story," came from a transformational time in Big Daddy Weave's story. As were all of the songs on Beautiful Offerings, "My Story" was especially a result of nightly conversations the band members had following the ministry time at the end of each Big Daddy Weave performance. What has developed into an integral and life-changing portion of a Big Daddy Weave concert, the ministry time is an intentional time of dedicated dialogue and one-on-one prayer with the people who attend their concerts. The band has seen God work in powerful ways in the lives of people across the country.
"If I told you my story, you'd see hope, you'd see love, you'd see victory, all these things, but it's not mine," shares Mike Weaver. "My story is really the story of what God has done in our lives, and the goodness of that is that it awakens things in other people. Our story is really just part of His story."
Big Daddy Weave is one of the top artists in Christian music: they are one of the genre's biggest headlining artists, the second most played artist at Christian AC-Monitored radio in 2014 and the recipient of multiple industry awards and nominations, including: Dove Awards, K-LOVE Fan Awards, Billboard Music Awards and ASCAP Awards.
Between 2012 and 2015, Big Daddy Weave has achieved five straight No. 1 singles at radio, the most recent being "My Story" from the 9/18/15 album, Beautiful Offerings, and the previous four from the band's career best-selling album, Love Come To Life. "Redeemed" was certified gold by the RIAA in 2015. Big Daddy Weave has career album sales of more than one million units. Formed in 2002, Big Daddy Weave is: Mike Weaver, Jay Weaver, Jeremy Redmon, Joe Shirk and Brian Beihl. More information can be found online at www.bigdaddyweave.com.
