Ernie Haase & Signature Sound's "Happy People" Locks in Top 10 Since Its Release
Gospel music's Ernie Haase & Signature Sound newly release StowTown Records releasee Happy People has continued to remain in the Top 10 of SoundScan since its release in early May. Group founder and longtime tenor, Ernie Haase, says he hopes the album motivates and inspires people all over the world."I hope to inspire others with our music to not only be "Happy People" but to get in the game and follow their dreams no matter how small their beginnings."
EHSS recently showcased Happy People with an hour-long "takeover" at Solid Gospel, visiting with host deejay Gregg Hutchins who played several selections from the new project during his live morning show.Later in the day, the group performed in front of a live audience at Sirius XM's theater inside Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville. The quartet hosted a one-hour taping for Sirius XM's EnLighten Channel. The show is currently being featured on EnLighten.
"I grew up in the small town of Newburgh, IN, and I spent each night listening to my little AM radio. That radio and it's programs was my lifeline to the whole world," added Haase, co-founder of StowTown Records. "So, after all these years, to be able to host/perform on a radio show for Sirius XM Radio was beyond cool for me."
The group took questions from fans via Facebook and Twitter and performed several selections from Happy People. Performances included the upbeat title track, "Happy People", along with "Thank You For Saving Me" and "Jesus Changed Everything".In addition, the group had a touching dedication and performance of "A Soldier Fighting To Go Home". The song, originally written by David Pike and later co-written by Joel Lindsay, won the 2011 Singing News/Solid Gospel Songwriters contest.
"We performed some new material from our CD entitled Happy People and it was received very well from the studio audience that day," said Haase. "I hope the listeners via Sirius XM satellite radio will enjoy it half as much as I did performing it that day along with Doug, Devin, Paul and Wayne. I loved ever minute of the session... I am Happy People!"Happy People is now available online and at bookstores everywhere.
