Christian Rock Band Red Releases "Of Beauty and Rage" on Feb. 24
Grammy nominated Christian rock group RED will release their fifth studio album on February 24 titled "of BEAUTY and RAGE," on Essential Records. The album is preceded by the lead singles "Darkest Part," which will be released to Christian Rock Radio and "Yours Again" to Christian CHR/Hot AC.
Lead singer Michael Barnes says: "of BEAUTY and RAGE is about suffering and finding the beauty in that. I know that no one in this world, especially in this country, likes to suffer, but we only become the strong individuals we are today from the trials and hardships we have faced in the past."
Adds Guitarist Randy Armstrong, "The album takes a look at the darkest, most inner struggles we face, whether they are self-inflicted or brought on by the outside world. RED has always tried to challenge listeners to be real with themselves and to confront their struggles head on."
The songs on of BEAUTY and RAGE reflect the band's deep convictions about the human condition. Says Bass Guitarist Anthony Armstrong, "Our struggles are the catalyst for us to experience both the beauty of life and the difficult times that bring rage and confusion. One can't exist without the other. It's okay for us to descend into the darkest parts of our souls to recognize and learn how to draw the beauty out of difficulty and character flaws."
Produced by Rob Graves, the new collection features the talents of Michael Barnes (vocals) and twin brothers Anthony Armstrong (guitar) and Randy Armstrong (bass). RED has had Billboard 200 top-charting successes with their four previous releases - RELEASE THE PANIC, UNTIL WE HAVE FACES, INNOCENCE & INSTINCT and END OF SILENCE. They have also garnered two GRAMMY®nominations, five GMA Dove Awards, two Top 10 Active Rock singles, three Top 10 Mainstream Rock singles, and 10 consecutive #1 hits at Christian radio. The band has sold more than one million albums to date.
Plans for a 2015 RED tour are to be announced. RED's extensive touring over the last decade has seen the band perform alongside such artists as Hinder, 3 Doors Down, Creed, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Godsmack, Sevendust, Drowing Pool, Flyleaf, Seether, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Saving Abel, Staind, Third Day, Switchfoot, Skilletand others.
