Michael Schumacher has been off the spotlight since his accident but a doctor who has been treating him all this while revealed that he was making some quick progress. But back tracking to words said by doctor Jean Francois Payen who treated Schumacher while he was in the French Hospital at Grenoble had told media that his case would take some time for him to make full recovery. He estimated 1- 3 years before he could be declared fit, could this mean Schumacher could no longer get behind the wheel of an F1 sports car? This is according to Christian Post news reports.
Schumacher, 45-years of age is a seven time world champion in the F1 grand Prinx from Germany suffered tremendous brain injury while skiing in the French Alps last December when he fell and hit his head on a rock. This is like no other clinic as it is said to be staffed round the clock by a 15-strong team who have undergone special training at Lausanne clinic to care for the man known to the world as greatest racing driver of all time. These clinical arrangements are slowly costing the family a small fortune week after week.
"The weekly bill for equipment and staff which includes physiotherapists to massage his atrophying limbs, doctors, nutritionists, nurses and neurological experts is estimated to be more than 100,000 EUROs ($160,000)," the British publication stated.
