HTC smartphones has been one of the rapid contributors in this year's phone market where HTC One M8 and HTC Desire 816 achieved wide popularity. The HTC brand name and reputation has been known to all but some quality devices have surely indulged to hold the brand value. Let's have a quick review of this year's two of the popular HTC smartphones HTC One M8 and HTC Desire 816.
HTC One M8 is a very high quality smartphone that comes in a 5.0-inch screen frame with pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920. The pixel density is super sharp with 441 pixels per inch and it is also packed with a Super LCD3 capacitive screen, which is very sensitive to touch. And this is not all, as HTC Desire 816 offers bigger display sacrificing the pixel density and quality. It is packed with 5.5-inch display size that contains 720 x 1280 pixels resolution along with 267 pixels per inch. The display type trails with Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen. HTC custom skin HTC Sense UI 6 is present in both the phones.
HTC One M8 has managed to achieve vast popularity with its specifications but loses the attraction when the camera department is considered. It is equipped with only 4MP dual camera sensor that is nowhere near the latest smartphones offer in that range. Front camera has saved the deal with 5MP sensor whereas HTC Desire 816 has much satisfactory provision with 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera sensor.
Apart from the camera the hardware segment is much more stronger in the HTC One M8 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset that comes with Quad-Core 2.3GHZ for US version and 25GHz for Asian version Krait 400 processor. Adreno 330 covers the GPU segment of HTC One M8 while Desire 816 is provided with Adreno 305 GPU emulator.
The internal storage of the Desire 816 offers 8GB of space while One M8 comes in two variants of 16/32GB of internal storage. The storage option is expandable to 128GB of space with microSD card slot for both the devices. One M8 leads the RAM slotting with 2GB of RAM while Desire 816 is powered by 1.5GB of RAM.
