Frozen 2 News, Reveals, Rumors and Updates: News Short Film Due in 2015 and New Songs Inbound for the Frozen Franchise
It is no secret that Frozen is the highest grossing animated movie of all time. Given this fact, it is obviously in the best interest of the fans and Walt Disney pictures to see a sequel come out sometime soon. As such, Disney has released a few very important updates concerning when Elsa and the gang are going to appear on the big screen again. Truth be told, a full length sequel is not going to be happening any time in the immediate future but there will be a short film out by next year-probably to relieve the Frozen franchise anticipation for the time being, seeing as the books scenario did not hit the market as well as it should, at least the ones over 12.
The short movie will be titled 'Frozen Fever' and is going to be set on Anna's birthday. The plot is apparently going to center on Elsa and Kristoff working to plan her party and give her the best gifts of course; however, her ice powers will not make things any easier. The short movie may not be a direct sequel in that it continues the plot of the first film but it is going to be set in the same universe with the same characters and is enough to appease the fans at least until the next full length feature Frozen movie.
Disney made a point of announcing "Frozen Fever" in a blog post some weeks ago along with the plot summary. At the same time, they revealed one of the most interesting parts of the original film. Apparently the songs will also be making a comeback in the short film. As such, it seems like the same couple behind the massive hit 'Let it Go' Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson Lopez are currently penning a new original song for the mini sequel. In a recent documentary, the couple shared it only took them a day and a half to compose 'Let it Go' because they were very inspired by the character of Elsa and the plot of her role.
