'American Horror Story' FX Season 4 Cast Adds 'How I Met Your Mother' Star Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka for Upcoming Episodes
"American Horror Story: Freak Show" (Season 4) is currently airing no Wednesday nights on FX and new cast additions Neil Patrick Harris ("How I Met Your Mother") and David Burtka will be joining the show.
Neil has been cast to play a salesman in the final two episodes of the season and David will appear in the final episode with chemistry with Jessica Lange's character according to TV Line. Creator Ryan Murphy had offered Neil and David to appear in the first season, but it did not work out until now.
"American Horror Story: Freak Show" (Season 4) premiered on FX on Wednesday, Oct 8th and the show has already been picked up for a fifth season, THR reports. The Season 4 premiere was the highest rated episode in the series history to date.
Season 4 is set in Jupiter, Florida in the 1950s and filmed in New Orleans for the second year in a row. Creator Murphy stated, "If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there's some more clues in that year. It's a period piece. We try and do the opposite of what we've done before. Jessica Lange has already started practicing her German accent so I'm very excited!"
Jyoti Amge, the world's smallest woman, joined the cast for this season. Amge, 20, stands just over 2 feet tall. The Indian-born actress is considered the world's shortest woman by both the Guiness and Limca books of world records. Amge has appeared both in a 2009 documentary about her called Body Shock and on an Indian reality TV show that's somewhat similar to "Big Brother."
For those who remember Pepper (played by Naomi Grossman in "Asylum") she is back since Season 4 takes place before the 1964-set "Asylum." Two other actors listed below Grossman on the call sheet, Christopher Neiman as Salty (Salty and Pepper sound like a circus act duo to us) and Ben Woolf as Meep.
