The 'Halo 5: Guardians' Release Date: Still Murky, Fans Have To Put Up With Halo Fest 2014 Instead
A false alarm on the release date of the "Halo 5: Guardians" which stemmed from a 343 Industries employee's tweet a few days ago, further intensifies the already clamouring fans who are vigilantly waiting for its release.
A photo of Cavanaugh's taken in front of 343 Industries banner captured a "384" character displayed by a countdown clock, reported by International Business Time. Speculations went on that it could mean "Halo 5: Guardians" will be released in 384 days. That would be on Nov. 10, 2015, and traditionally "Halo" materials are released on the month of November. Not to mention that it has been a practice in America wherein video games are released on a Tuesday, which coincided with the fact that Nov. 10, 2015 also falls on the same day.
However, Hard Core Gamer revealed that such speculation was dismissed by Microsoft adding that their apparent hesitance to confirm the release date could be due to unpredictable circumstances that may cause delays. There were expectations that Microsoft would disclose the big news in the course of E3 2015, during the press conference.
For now, fans would just have to contend with Halo 5: Guardians Worldwide Gameplay Debut, at HaloFest 2014 on Nov. 10.
Said event will feature all "Halo's", which will include the forthcoming "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" and the TV series "Halo: Nightfall". On Nov. 5, experts in eSports will exhibit their prowess in Halo 5: Guardians multi-player beta. Events will be aired at Xbox Live and Twitch, at 8pm Pacific Time.
Hard Core Gamer further shared that Halo Fest is more than just multiplayer competitions. Something to look forward to is the premiere of Halo: Nightfall. And fans will have the chance to catch first hand information on the recent developments concerning Halo, as it will also feature interviews with the bigwigs of 343 Industries. On the line are Bonnie Ross and Frank O'Connor, the Franchise Development Director and the rest of Halo team. The event will culminate with the launching of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" on Nov. 11.
