Find 7 vs Find 7a High-End China-Made Smartphones: Which Oppo You Need To Get?
The Chinese company based in Dongguan, Guangdong, has started to make a name for itself in the smartphone market. After its first handset's successful launch and good reception, Oppo is slowly climbing the top of phone industry especially in its own land.
Once dominated by the Cupertino-based Apple, Oppo is now one of the leading smartphone makers in China and it has now pose a threat against more tech-giants. What does Oppo has to be put in the benchmark of Apple and other top caliber companies? Let us find out in this comparison between its two top handsets, Find 7 and Find 7a based on NDTV and Phone Arena.
Find 7 and Find 7a share the same specifications from its operating system, dimension, and display size. Both smartphones from Oppo are initially equipped with Android (4.3) ColorOS UI and recently, GSM Arena reported a new OS for the two handsets, the ColorOS 2.0. The improve system features "minimalistic UI design, updated stock apps, Global Gesture Panel 2.0, and Super Power Saving mode."
Oppo's top handsets also have the same 6.01 x 2.95 x 0.36 inches or 152.6 x 75 x 9.2 mm dimensions and the same display size which is 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen made with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Find 7, released a month earlier than Find 7a, is a bit heavier than its sibling at 6.03 oz. versus 6.0 oz. Its screen, with 1440 x 2560 pixels and 538 ppi is also superior compared to 7a's 1080 x 1920 pixels with 403 ppi.
When it comes to hardware and performance, Find 7 is a bit better with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 8974-AC with quad-core Krait 400 processor clocked at 250 GHz compared to Oppo Find 7a's Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 8974-AB quad-core Krait 400 processor clocked at 230 GHz.
The one-month older smartphone also has a bigger RAM and built-in memory, 3GB and 32 GB, compared to 7a that has 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory only. On the other hand, both phone's memory can be improved up to 128 GB with a microSD card. Find 7 is also powered with a superior 3000 mAh battery while Oppo Find 7a is powered by 2800 mAh battery only.
It is a fair game in terms of snapper because both the Oppo Find 7 and Oppo find 7a feature 13MP main camera with Dual LED Flash and 5MP selfie front cam. The two handsets are also equipped with the same connectivity like 4.0 Bluetooth, 5GHz Wi-Fi, and USB 2.0.
Because of its more advance features, Oppo Find 7 is relatively pricier, Rs. 37,990, compared to Oppo Find 7a which is available at Rs. 31,990.
