'Hitman: Agent 47' Movie Release Delayed 6 Months
The movie "Hitman: Agent 47" release date, which was based on the top selling video game series by Square Enix, would no longer be in February of 2015, but instead, the film will hit cinemas on August 28, 2015.
According to Movie Newz, the 20th Century Fox studio bumped the "Hitman: Agent 47" release date, which was initially scheduled to be released on Feb. 27, 2015. Screenrent reported that before Rupert Friend got the role of Agent 47, the studio has first given the said role to Paul Walker. But because of the "Fast and Furious" film, they got an instruction to look for a replacement and Rupert Friend got the role. Afterwards, the upcoming action packed film is the rebooted version of "Hitman" that was directed by Xavier Gen and released last 2007, added by Screenrant.
"Hitman: Agent 47" is a $30-million-dollar budgeted film, but, it doesn't gave a shockwave in the worldwide box-office. As the matter of fact, the production still garnered about $69 million dollar profit. The fans and the critic's reactions are so overwhelming, that it made the 20th Century Fox to reboot the "Hitman 2" sequel.
The $30-million-dollar budgeted film did not exactly bomb at the worldwide box-office. In fact, it still garnered a considerable $69 million dollar profit. However, both the fans and critics' reaction was so underwhelming that 20th Century Fox had to change course, and turn the "Hitman 2" sequel into a reboot instead. The studio did not add any more details or reasons why the release of the film was delayed.
Aside from Rupert Friend, other members of the cast include Zachary Quinto, Thomas Kretschmann, Ciaran Hinds, Emilio Rivera, Hannah Ware and more.
Based on the actual game character, the film revolves around the action-packed and suspenseful tale of the highly trained assassin called the "Hitman." The genetically-modified agent turns into a hero when he attempts to keep a mysterious waitress safe from the hands of a nefarious group known as the Syndicate. As it goes on, the mission will bring startling revelations about the lethal agent and his prey.
The "Hitman: Agent 47" screenplay was written by Michael Finch, Kyle Ward, Skip Woods and directed by Aleksander Bach. Catch this thriller, action packed film on Aug. 28, 2015 in theatres near you.
