Disney's Contemporary Classic Fairy Tale "Cinderella" on 2015
Walt Disney's very own glass-shoe wearing princess "Cinderella" will be in a live-action re-imagined film on 2015. This classic fairy tale movie is the story of a servant step-daughter who struggles in the hands of her step-mother and step-sisters and in the end, winning the heart of a prince.
Here's a little shocker, according to Movie Pilot, the upcoming version of the classic movie is from the perspective of the Prince. The Prince, played by Richard Madden, is playing a politically advantageous arranged marriage. The Prince tried to ruin the greedy plans of his family by meeting and falling in love with Cinderella.
Mark Romanek was set to direct the film. Some of his previous works are "Never Let Me Go" last 2010 and the thriller film "One Hour Photo" last 2002. Romanek initially talks with Disney about his plans in the production "Cinderella" but he was departed. Luckily, the British Shakespeare stalwart Kenneth Branagh filled in the director's chair. Chris Weitz and Aline Brosh McKenna are the screenplay writers of the film, responsible for some unique dialogues that we will surely hear in the movie.
Just some little trivia guys, according to IMDb, when the director Kenneth Branagh is approaching the project with a complete understanding that this was from a fairy tale, he said, "It is impossible to think of Cinderella without thinking of Disney and the timeless images we've all grown up watching. And those classic moments are irresistible to a filmmaker." Also, did you know that the role was also offered to Emma Watson? But guess what, she declined... oh crap!
Well, on the other hand, the movie is bombarded with well-known great actors like Helena Bonham Carter, who played the role of a loyal servant of Lord Voldemort, Bellatrix Lestrange, in the Harry Potter series. In "Cinderella," guess what? She will play the role of the Fairy Godmother! Next are Cate Blanchett as Lady Tremaine, Hayley Atwell as Cinderella's mother, Stellan Skarsgard as the Grand Duke, Holliday Grainger as Anastasia and more.
Watch out for the live-action retelling of the all time classic fairy tale "Cinderella" on March 13, 2014, in theatres near you, by the way, here's the movie teaser:
