Pirates of the Caribbean 5 updates: Queensland, Australia will be the first stop of the Pirates of the Caribbean 5 crew as they start shooting by early 2015.
Subtitled Dead Men Tell No Tales, Pirates of the Caribbean 5 release date has been set for July 7, 2017.
Reports have come out that Oscar winner Javier Bardem, best known for his roles in No Country for Old men and the James Bond film Skyfall, will be playing the main villain in Pirates of the Caribbean 5. Online rumors revealed that he will be joined by his wife, Penelope Cruz in the latest release of the hit Disney franchise. Cruz is not a stranger to Pirates of the Caribbean; she played femme fatale Angelica in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides earned more than $1 billion in the worldwide box office.
Earlier news have suggested that Disney was keen on getting Christoph Waltz as Captain Brand, a ghost captain who blames Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp, for the death of his brother. Captain Brand is also searching for a mystical artifact, The Trident, and use this for his revenge.
Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Pirates of the Caribbean 5 will be directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, with the screenplay written by Jeff Nathanson.
