'Winds of Winter' Release Date Latest News: Real Reasons for Delay Revealed
With all these speculations, anticipations, wild guesses, and rumors, it seems like everyone has a different take on when George RR Martin's next book will be hitting the market. Every reporter has a different story on from skewed plot to writers' plot, but it turns out that no one has the real reason behind this delay.
However, if you look at what the author had said several months ago, this is not really a delay. Martin never promised any official release date and had always maintained that a lot of work is there to be completed before this story finally reaches to an end. His last book "A Dance with the Dragon" ended with several cliffhangers and it was actually difficult to work on the plot from there. Although Martin has released several sample and viewpoint chapters, he also said that the manuscript is abrupt and stretched to around 2000 pages, out of which not even half of the work was finished till October.
Now assuming that he's working religiously on the story, it will take a few months from now that we can really get a confirmed release date. We already know that Martin has a contractual obligation with the publisher for this series to finish the book before June 2015, which would lead to a rough estimate on "Winds of Winter" release date though.
But why is there so much curiosity for the release? It wasn't there at the time of "A Dance with the Dragons." Actually, "A Game of Thrones" television series has contributed vastly in the popularity of this book series. As a matter of statistics, sales for Bantam Spectra has increased by fifty percent by the time this series has aired on the television.
In terms of the plot spoilers, Davos Seaworth and his motives will still remain a mystery. Several rumors suggest that he will not be taking anything back to the kind, initiating something really awful. Finally, by the end of the upcoming books, Davos will reveal what he actually seeks. Meanwhile, Arya continues her journey physically and mentally as she becomes skilful in the art of killing, but it's still unclear what she will be able to achieve with it.
Questions are also being asked about possible deaths. Martin has already warned the readers about lots of blood, but can it mean the possible of death of characters like John Snow and Tyrion by the time this story ends?
