'The Voice' NBC Season 6 Teaser, Producer Mark Burnett Shares His Heart Behind The Hit Show, Watch Here (VIDEO)
"The Voice" Season 6 on NBC premieres this coming Monday, Feb. 24 and another teaser video has been released. The video shows footage from the upcoming season and interview clips with the judges as well as producer Mark Burnett. Burnett shares his heart behind making "The Voice" (watch above).
After "American Idol" seemed to create the roadmap for a successful singing competition on television, in large part with making fun of people in the auditions, people weren't sure that a new show could work without that element. "People said in that beginning that you will never pull off a singing show without a humiliation factor. That was totally wrong," shared producer Mark Burnett. "The Voice is a great family friendly show. Children are dragging their parents to watch with them."
Mark Burnett and his team were right, as "The Voice" has overtaken "American Idol" and the other singing competitions to become America's highest rated show. The past few years have been successful in finding talent as well as Season 3 winner, Cassadee Pope, and Season 4 winner, Danielle Bradbery, have already been finding commercial success in the country music market on radio and being asked to open on tours with Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley and more.
"The Voice" Season 6 will rotate the judges/coaches once again with Shakira and Usher coming back again and Ceelo Green and Christina Aguilera stepping aside for this season. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will again be back for their sixth season in a row.
Will Season 6 have that magical talent that we will be talking about for years? We will have to tune in and see. Check out the Season 6 premiere of "The Voice" on NBC on Monday night, Feb. 24th.
