Eva Mendes Quitting Hollywood? Ryan Gosling Gets Advice From 'The Best Of Me' Star James Marden
James Marden was quick to offer some parenting advice to his Ryan Gosling, 33, a month after his "The Notebook" co-star's girlfriend Eva Mendes gave birth to a baby girl named Esmeralda Amada, as reported by US Weekly.
"Make it through the first year. You'll get your sleep eventually. You go through those sleep-deprived months where you don't know who you are or where you are, or what's happening. But just enjoy every second of it I guess," said the 41-year-old father of three in an interview with Yahoo while promoting his film "The Best Of Me," which is currently enjoying box office success despite being faced by strong rivals, "Gone Girl" and "Fury."
According to Marsden, Gosling is a good and very intelligent man who "seems very in tune with his young self."
With his former wife Linde, Marsden has a 13-year-old son named Jack and a 9-year-old daughter named Mary and with Brazilian model Rose Costa, he has a son named William, who is turning two in December.
Both "The Notebook" and "The Best Of Me" are film adaptations of Nicholas Sparks novels.
Directed by Michael Hoffman, "The Best Of Me" als stars Michelle Monaghan, Luke Bracey, Gerald McRaney, Caroline Goodall, Clarke Peters, Sebastian Arcelus, Jon Tenney, Sean Bridgers, Rob Mello, Hunter Burke, Robby Rasmussen, Carolien Hebert and Ian Nelson among others.
Meanwhile, Mendes is reportedly quitting acting after giving birth of her first child with Gosling as she wants to have more children although she has to wait for about a year to try for another one.
"It's been tough on her hiding away with so much attention on her, and she's turned into a fierce mama bear. She's so fed up with the fame game and couldn't think of anything worse than raising a child in LA," a source told OK! Magazine.
"Ryan's all for it and they're talking about ranches in Utah or Ojai," the source added.
But while Mendes is exhausted after giving birth, her husband was said to be overjoyed over fatherhood.
Moreover, Gosling and Mendes are also reportedly planning to get married.
"They're incredibly happy and they want to be married as soon as she's ready," the source revealed.
