Supergirl DC Comics Writer, Plot And Reveals: 'Supergirl' Gets A New Female Writer Who Wants To Portray The Character 'Supergirl' In A Refreshing Way And Take 'Kara Zor-EL' On A Whole New Adventure
We have the latest for you on the writer, plot and reveals of Supergirl DC comics. DC comics has produced some of the best comics the world has seen today, it has come up with the Batman comic, it has produced Superman and even the Flash comic to name but a few. Today the comic at hand is Supergirl Comic, a DC Comic's creation. It has great news as now it has received a new female writer just to spice things up. K. Perkins is the new co-write of the superhero comic book. In her own words, Perkins described Kara Zor-EL (Supergirl) as smart, tough, strong-willed and curious. And she expressed her strong feelings in regards to how she thinks the character should be portrayed both in the comic book and in the recently announced TV series, according to Newsarama Reports.
Or in a more specific approach, Perkins described how she shouldn't be portrayed, "I don't want to see any more strong female characters in the media get passive or make bad choices because of a romantic relationship or because their journey gets too difficult. No one has time for that any longer. I certainly don't. That broken record has played too much and too often," she said.
A little sneak into Perkins life revealed she is a New York writer/ Producer who in the past had specialized in writing screenplays, directing plays and young adult supernatural fiction. She will seat side by side with Supergirl veteran writer Mike Johnson and the two are set to work on the scripts of the Supergirl series. It's not going to be long before we see her work as the Supergirl #36 which is set to kick off with the storyline that will introduce her to comic audiences meanwhile at the same time she will take the lead character, Kara Zor-EL on a whole new adventure.
The upcoming issue will see Kara enroll at Crucible Academy, a super school that trains Beings of cosmic importance. Readers will be treated to the kick-ass crucible staff, and Kara will exhibit what Perkins calls a Scoobiegang at crucible which will include Captain Comet and Maxima and a new character known as Tsavo, a super werecat with his own agenda.
