Angelina Jolie Or Jennifer Aniston? 'Fury' Star Brad Pitt Asked To Choose By 'Between Two Ferns' Host Zach Galifianakis
During his recent visit on Zach Galifianakis web series "Between Two Ferns," "Fury" star Brad Pitt was thrown an awkward question, "Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston?"
"Tell me what I was like the first time that you laid eyes on Angelina. Was it like one of those classical love stories, like when, I don't know, Ross first saw Rachel? You know that show, 'Friends?' Have you seen it?" said Galifianakis who is known for hosting the award-winning comic talk show that grills its guests.
Instead of comparing his former wife and current wife, Pitt simply said he likes the song "I'll Be There For You" by The Rembrandt, which is the theme song of the NBC sitcom "Friends" that once featured the "Fury" star as a guest star.
In 2011, Aniston was also featured in a "Between Two Ferns" episode with Tila Tequila.
At the time, Galifianakis wanted a Pitt look-alike to appear in the episode, which Aniston did not find funny, E! News has learned.
"I had found this guy (in our hotel) who looked exactly like Brad Pitt. I wanted to use that in some way. I said, 'Jennifer, I have this guy who looks like Brad Pitt. I want to make it seem like I think it's him,'" Galifianakis explained at the New Yorker Festival in 2011.
The host said Aniston gave him a disagreeing look.
"And I totally agreed with her. How rude of me to do that! Why would she want to talk about that? She gets inundated with that s--t all the time. I totally understood," Galifianakis said.
Meanwhile, both Pitt and Galifianakis star in movies that are currently dominating the box office, the former in David Ayer's "Fury" with Shia LaBeouf and Jon Bernthal and the latter in Alejandro Inarritu's "Birdman" with Edward Norton and Michael Keaton.
According to box office analyst Phil Contrino, Jolie's husband "picks smart pictures that people want to see."
On the other hand, while "Birdman" is in a limited release, it is the second-highest per-theater opening average of 2014 behind "Grand Budapest Hotel," which also starred Norton, USA Today reported.
