The trailer begins, "Whoever you are, whatever it is you're doing, you are going to want to witness this."
Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) is forced to make the choice to join the rebel forces against the Capitol. "Are you going to fight for us," she is asked. "I am. I will."
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 hits theaters everywhere on November 21 and you can start pre-ordering your tickets on October 29.
Katniss Everdeen's role in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is more vital than ever. This film will pick up immediately where the last film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire left off. Katniss, is devastated to learn that her former home, District 12 of Panem, has been obliterated into ashes and her close friend and seemingly love interest, Peeta, has been taken captive by President Snow and the wicked forces of the nation's capitol. Katniss reluctantly becomes the beacon of hope and newfound leader of the rebel forces forming to wage war against the capitol - naming her as "The Mockingjay".
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson's Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
The new trailer features the new Lorde song "Yellow Flicker Beat" in the background, which will also be a featured song on the soundtrack for the movie. You can check out the track list for the upcoming soundtrack HERE.
