Sony Xperia Z4 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Rumors Compared: The Battle of the Upcoming Smartphones
Smartphone consumers should do some savings from now on because 2015 will be packed with new stunning handsets equipped with tech-advance specs and thrilling new features. As the tech-market battle heats up, no company is seemingly ready for surrender, just like Samsung and Sony.
After launching each of their flagship phones this year, Xperia Z3 and Galaxy Note 4, the two tech-giants are now reportedly preparing for their new handsets slated for release next year. If the Japanese giant has Xperia Z4 underway, as reported by Android Origin, the South Korean genius has its own Galaxy S6 on track.
Before the two upcoming high-caliber phablets' launch, here is a quick comparison of the rumors from NDTV and Ordoh that you need to know.
Sony Xperia Z4 and Samsung Galaxy S6 may have a close fight in terms of the size of their display screens. Z4 is rumored to have 5.5-inch QHD screen with 1440 x 2560 resolution, while S6 is tipped for a rather vague of more than 5.1-inch screen with the same pixel resolution as the upcoming Xperia. Galaxy S5 has 5.1-inch screen, thus, rumors said S6 might have 5.2-inch display.
There will also be a tight difference in terms of camera feature of the two anticipated smartphones. Sony is known for their high-quality snappers that have been featured since Xperia Z1, while Samsung is known for consistently upgrading their handset cameras.
Samsung Galaxy S6 is believed to feature a 20MP camera that may come with optical image stabilization. Xperia Z4, on the other hand, is set for an upgrade from the IMX220 20.7MP sensor present in previous Xperia Z smartphones. This could mean that Sony will still have a better snapper compared to Samsung.
In terms of processor, it is rumored that both handsets are more likely to have 64-bit processor. S6 is said to feature a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core or Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor while Z4 is tipped to have the same octa-core Snapdragon 810 clocked at 2.8 GHz. Both handset is also set for a 4GB RAM.
Xperia Z4 and Galaxy S6 is also tipped for an improved memory capacity compared to their predecessors. Sony's upcoming phone is rumored to have 32GB, double of Z3's 16GB internal storage. But Samsung's upcoming phablet will reportedly have 128GB on-board memory, that's quite superb so we will have to wait if it is true.
Both phones are also rumored to have their own set of new features that we should wait some confirmation until the two new devices' launch next year.
It seems that tech-geeks and consumer is up for a tight showdown on February to April 2015 between Sony Xperia Z4 and Samsung Galaxy S6.
