Tristan Thompson: Stole a Kiss from Sideline Interviewer
Tristan Thompson: Stole a Kiss from Sideline Interviewer
According to Yahoo! Sports, Tristan Thompson has scored 17 points and added 22 rebounds without turnovers in nearly 30 minutes of action. The big man of Cavaliers returned to the power forward position. He was also considered as the best player of the team in its 108 to 102 exhibition loss to Dallas Mavericks. Before the game, Allie Clifton, a sideline reporter of FOX Sports attempted to discuss with Thompson, who responded in a disgusting manner. Clifton got kissed without her consent!
Just because the sideline reporter of FOX Sports stayed professional and calm while keeping a smile on her face, this does not mean that Tristan Thompson was not straight up sexually harassing Clifton. She did her best to be professional and calm as she is really a professional reporter who does her duties and responsibilities. Thompson should learn to never kiss anyone without their consent or kiss someone just doing his or her job without without consent.
This is not funny or cute. There must be no rationalizing of this. That might be a mortifying experience for Clifton and Thompson could not be more wrong. Just because he was working with someone of the opposite gender, it does not mean that he could kiss her on a national television. If he wanted to play with someone, Thompson should have wait to finish the game to kiss the sideline reporter if he has any interest with her.
According to the Bleacher Report, Tristan Thompson is gaining more confidence every year that he is in the NBA. That confidence can be witnessed in several interviews and on the court. But, even though he is popular for some, he shouldn't do what he did to Clifton to show some respect to the reporter.
Beer Mug Sports reported that Clifton did not see, too upset though. Therefore, maybe there is some action behind the scenes or something. It is like playing with a player and keep riding that fine line between fun and sexual harassment in front of the public.
For those who missed the fun, videos are available in different websites.
