The Walking Dead Recap: ‘Strangers’

The Walking Dead Recap: 'Strangers’
After the thrilling and riveting fifth season premiere of the AMC horror-drama, The Walking Dead,"Strangers" opens with equilibrium of action and emotion, reuniting the group together. Forgiveness and compassion were in the air, according to Variety. The newly expanded group spent a couple of nights in the woods, away from Terminus, the place that provided zero sanctuary.
Rick and Maggie finally welcomed Tara intro the group despite her previous connection with the Governor. Tyreese on the other hand convinced the rest of the company to forgive Carol for what she’s done back at the prison.
There will also be a new appearance of Gabriel, according to After Ellen.
While trekking through the woods, the group met Gabriel Stokes in his clerical attire, who turned out to be a priest. Father Gabriel was asking for help, but Rick hesitated to help the priest. However, the not-so-little anymore Carl, insisted to help the guy out and convinced the others to save the victim. Rick immediately suspected Gabriel that he’s hiding something. Without a doubt, Rick is clearly done giving strangers the benefit of the doubt after what happened in Terminus.
Others also questioned how the priest was able to survive and last this long by just depending on a canned food drive without killing a single walker.
Gabriel led the group to his church, his holy sanctuary. Rick still showed mistrust to the priest and wanted him to prove himself, so he dragged the holy man in a basement flooded with zombies. Gabriel had a panic attack upon seeing a walker inching closer to him – someone he totally knew.
Carol, who were still uneasy decided to leave the rest of the gang but were followed by her good friend, Daryl. A black car sped by them and Daryl recognized it as the one that abducted Beth. Rick and the rest of the gang were clueless about what happened to Bob. Bob, who just went outside the church were amputated and held captive by Gareth’s small band of monsters from Terminus.
