'The Battle of the Five Armies' Plot Spoilers: 2014 Release Date and Other Updates
Not many movie trilogies are able to keep the expectations high till the last installment like "The Hobbit" series. It is inspired or rather based on JRR Tolkien's book by the same name and almost the same plot. Director Peter Jackson is well-known for fantasy projects but it seems that his new offering will set a new narrative standard from what we have seen in the trailer. The movie is all set to release on Dec.17.
In the last part titled "The Desolation of Smaug" we have already seen how this giant dragon flies out to wreak havoc on village by the lake while dwarves look for ways to fight with him. For those who have already read the book, "The Battle of the Five Armies" should not be a surprise and for those who wonder what these five armies could mean, our plot spoilers will shed some light.
Spoiler Alert!
For those who want to experience a lot more of the dragon will be disappointed as Smaug will be killed in initial part of next movie. According to "Hobbit 3" spoilers from the book, Bard will kill this dragon with the help of Black Arrow from his father. And once the dragon is killed, Lonely Mountain Castle will be unguarded and so will be the huge treasures of the dwarves.
Meanwhile, Thorin Oakenshield & Company along with a hobbit comes to know about the dragon and how Men are planning to take a share in treasures. In fact, the Elves also join hands with Bard and plan to attack the Lonely Mountain if Thorin refuses to share the fortunes. Things get even uglier when Orcs and Wargs also get the news of unguarded treasure and ahead towards it with their giant armies according to Tolkien Gateway. Thorin understands the risks and asks a bird to pass on a message to his cousin Dain, who also prepares an army to help his kin, making the five armies that will battle for the gold and most importantly, the Arkenstone.
Will the Hobbit once again smoke pipe? Will he be back to tell the story of his adventures with his share of the treasure?
