Disney Slates 'Moana' for 2016: Directors John Musker and Ron Clements Reunites for Walt Disney's Incredible Journey with Moana and Maui!
Distinguished producers of animated films, the Walt Disney Animation Studios, slated the upcoming film "Moana" as its animated feature for 2016, two years earlier than its original schedule.
It will portray the saga of a Polynesian princess, "Moana", born in the South Pacific world of Oceania about 2000 years ago and destined to succeed an incredible adventure in quest of a fabled island.
The story plot of the movie based on The Disney Wiki will be focused more with the countless battles against the evil forces in various forms; "Moana" braved the rough waters of Oceania, and goes along her journey towards the fulfilment of her goal.
With her apparent need for the support of a heroic partner, "Maui", a legendary demi-god came to her aid and stood by all her struggles as she rides over the tides and hopped across islands, conquering challengers, one after the other.
The animated film will certainly be responsive to the adventurous spirit of the young, longing for obstacles to overcome and enemies to defeat.
Since time immemorial, history is full of people's thirst for victory in every endeavour. The young generation, never gets tired of the world of make-believe as long as it satisfies their search for adventure. Their firm belief on beings possessing super natural powers continues to influence their choice of recreation and lifestyle. It has found its way not only in its place of origin, but has spread across the continents, across countries and transcending cultural boundaries.
Disney's hit-makers, Oscar-nominated and veteran directors, Ron Clements and John will direct the film, "Moana", which they themselves believed could be one of their great works. Clements expressed his optimism when he said in a statement with UPI that, "John and I have partnered on so many films -- from The Little Mermaid to Aladdin to The Princess and the Frog. Creating "Moana" is one of the great thrills of our career. It's a big adventure set in this beautiful world of Oceania."
According to Hypable, this film will once again reinforce Disney's unquestionable record in producing animated films. This time, a seemingly firm and spirited princess, set out to continue her ancestor's quest, is expected to live up to Disney's tradition in the field of animation.
