The Hunger Games: New Mockingjay trailer released, gives first glimpse of what's in store for Katniss Everdeen
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay news: To heighten anticipation for the release of the movie's first part this November, a new The Hunger Games: Mockingjay trailer has been released by Lionsgate, giving fans of the hugely successful franchise a preview of what's in store for their favorite heroine, Katniss Everdeen.
The new trailer shows Katniss, played by Jennifer Lawrence, returning to a devastated District 12, letting Katniss realize everything that she has lost and what she could still fight for.
The 60-second The Hunger Games: Mockingjay trailer is accompanied by "Yellow Flicker Beat" a haunting song performed by New Zealand pop star Lorde.
It is interesting to note that the trailer is narrated by District 13 leader Plutarch Heavensbee, played by the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.
In the trailer Plutarch states, "No one else can do this but her. We need to make it personal for her."
In The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Katniss leads District 13 in waging a rebellion against The Capital.
Katniss and Gale Hawthorne, played by Liam Hemsworth, are also on mission to rescue the kidnapped Peeta Mellark, played by Josh Hutcherson.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay cast also includes Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy, Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, Natalie Dormer as Cressida, Donald Sutherland as President Coriolanus Snow, and Julianne Moore as President Alma Coin.
The Hunger Games movies are based on the best-selling novels of the same name by Suzanne Collins.
