Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Release Date is Imminent; Smartphone Already Listed in U.S. Mobile Store

After the recent launch of Xperia series, Sony has announced that the commercial release of their new flagship smartphones in the U.S. will require not long waiting time. The Japanese company has been known in delayed shipping of new devices; thus, their ranking in American smartphones market is really far from Apple, Samsung and other tech-giants.

With the aim of improving their market share in America, Sony is expected to bring their new gadgets early. iTechpost reported that the company has closed the deal with U.S. carriers, T-Mobile and Verizon. These two U.S. carriers will bring Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3v in U.S. stores this month.

On the other hand, tech-buffs and plain consumers are also interested in another Sony's smartphone, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. Dubbed as the compact "uncompromising smartphone" equipped with tech-advance features and specification, Xperia Z3 Compact tablet is something that the public is waiting for.

As if the Japanese conglomerate heard the buzz about the compact phone, Android Central reported that Sony Mobile Store has already included Sony Xperia Z3 Compact in their long list of device, available for pre-orders. The mobile store stated that the small version of Xperia Z3 and Z3v will be sold at $529.99 without contract.

Though the handset is already listed, "Buy Now" button is still not clickable. Sony said that the estimated arrival of the Xperia Z3 Compact will be early next month, Nov. 3 to be exact. The much anticipated compact smartphone is available in white, black, orange, and green colors.

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact may be a smaller version of the high-caliber Xperia Z3 series, but it is not short in terms of specifications and features. Phone Arena cited that the compact smartphone will have the same aesthetic as its 'siblings'. It is said to have the same dust-and-water-resistant body, only in a relatively smaller scale. Its leaked dimension is 127 x 64.9 x 8.6 mm (5 x 2.55 x 0.33 in), and a weight of 129 g (4.55 oz).

The screen for the compact Z3 will be 4.6-inch with 720 x 1280 resolution. Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is also set to have the same quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz with 2GB RAM. In terms of storage, its internal will be 16GB but expansion up to 128GB is allowed through a microSD slot.

As the maker of Cyber-shots camera, Sony is also known for top camera specs and if rumors will be true, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact might also sport a snapper with more or less 20MP quality.
