Nexus 6 vs iPhone 6: Innovative Technology Face-off, Which Is Better?
Google recently launched a new line of Nexus products and their newest operating system, new Android 5.0 Lollipop. One of the of their latest releases include the phablet, Nexus 6. How will it hold up against the iPhone 6 released just few weeks earlier?
The Nexus 6 was built and developed by Google and Motorola. The design of the Nexus 6 is very similar to Motorola's Moto X. The Nexus 6 features an aluminum frame with a plastic back portion and available in Cloud White or Midnight Blue color.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 6 has an aluminum frame and back. iPhone 6 also has a 4.7 inch screen with "Retina" HD LCD with a 1,334 x 750 pixel screen resolution with 326 ppi.
Nexus 6 on the other hand will come with a massive 5.96 inches QHD display with a screen resolution of a whopping 2,560 x 1,440 pixel and a 493 pixels per inch density. It also packs AMOLED screen technology.
Both the Nexus 6 and iPhone 6 will be running the latest in their own operating systems which is the Android 5.0 Lollipop and the iOS 8.1 respectively.
In terms of processing speed, the Nexus 6 can beat the iPhone 6 with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 Quad-core processor clocked at a stunning 2.7 GHZ. While the iPhone 6 has the new 64 bit A8 chip along with an M8 motion coprocessor.
Camera-wise, the Nexus 6 also beats iPhone out of the water with a 13 Megapixel rear camera with dual LED ring flash and a 2 Megapixel front camera. The Nexus 6 also comes with Optical Image Stabilization, which compensates for the user's shaky hands when taking a picture.
The iPhone 6 only has an 8 Megapixel rear camera with a 1.2 Megapixel front camera, but is packed with phase detection auto-focus, new tone-mapping, noise reduction and a video slow motion mode that can record at 240 frames per second.
With regards to its battery power, the Nexus 6 packs a massive 3,220 mAh capacity with wireless charging enabled. While the iPhone 6 has an undisclosed battery capacity.
It was stated in Pc Advisor that the Nexus 6 is rumored to cost about $650, though it is not certain whether it's for the 32 GB or 64GB version, which makes it more expensive, even more than the iPhone 6's 128 GB version which cost $399.
