Lauren Daigle's "How Can It Be" Makes an Impressive Splash on the Charts
The numbers are out! Centricity Music's Lauren Daigle's new project, "How Can It Be," doesn't disappoint. Deemed as a commercial and critical success, Daigle's latest release is indeed one of this year's most anticipated album. The title track is the first single and already is No. 4 on iTunes Christian/Gospel Songs chart and at Billboard is No. 16 on NCA and AC Monitored Charts, and No. 13 at AC Indicator. At the same time, Daigle's new EP is No. 14 on iTunes Christian/Gospel Top Albums chart.
In an exclusive interview with Hallels, this is what Daigle has to say about her sound: "My style of music leans towards a soulful side. I love a good groove on the drums, paired up with lower bass notes. We got a bit funky on the EP by offering epic instrumentation and vocals, while adding lots of quirky harmonies. Growing up in Louisiana with lots of soul and jazz in New Orleans, it's kind of second nature. I'm all about soul!"
Daigle has been busy this month visiting radio stations in the Southeast that included Mike Blakemore at The Fish/Atlanta; Brian Strickland at Christian FM, Vero Beach, FL; WAY Radio staff, Jacksonville, FL; Greg Cassiday at The Pulse, Gainesville, GA and Jen Winborn and Tate Luck atWPOZ, Orlando, FL.
Daigle is currently performing on Aaron Shust's The Morning Rises Fall Tour that runs through October 19th in Mt. Vernon, IL.
