Hillsong United Interview Discussing Zion Tour and Band History, Watch Here (VIDEO)
Hillsong United band members Joel Houston, J.D. and Jad Gillies sit down for an extended interview with "Bay Focus" during their stop in Tampa Bay for their Welcome Zion Tour (watch video above). The Welcome Zion Tour traveled the world in 2013 and brought along Hillsong's next generation worship band, Young & Free, to open up the concerts.
When asked about their songwriting and the heart of Hillsong United, Joel had this to say, "God emplores us time and time again to be bringing a new song. I feel like we have the opportunity to really bring the prophetic when it comes to songwriting. What is God saying to us and what is He saying to all of His people around the earth and what is it that He would have us say at this time in history, in the midst of where our culture is at, in the midst of where our society is at. In the midst of all of that, what is it that God would want us to be singing to Him. That's our heart and our desire with everything."
Hillsong UNITED is also set to release new re-mix album, The White Album, in March. They posted the official cover artwork for the album (see above) and a tentative release date has been set for March 4th. This will be the first re-mix album from Hillsong UNITED and they now have a strong and deep collection of songs to choose from to complete the album. Favorites from all of the years of Hillsong United will be included on this album.
Since the release of their latest studio album Zion (Feb 2013), they also released a Zion Acoustic Sessions (Oct 2013) album featuring their huge hit "Oceans" from the Zion album. The first release off of the remix album will be the song "Like An Avalanche".
