iPhone 6 vs HTC One M8 vs Nexus 6: Specs and Features Comparison of An Apple and Two Droids
The HTC One M8 was first released a few months ago, the Apple iPhone just a few weeks ago and the Motorola Nexus 6 is still due for release. iPhone 6 uses the iOS8 while M8 uses the current Android 4.4 KitKat version, Know Your Mobile reports. The upcoming Nexus 6 , as cited by International Business Times, will have the new Android 5 or L version. There is no doubt that these three phones are hottest in the market right now. Keeping this in mind we can now make comparisons on the other aspects of these three smartphones.
The M8 has a 5 inch HD display and screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Apple has two sizes for its newest iPhone products. The iPhone 6 has a 4.7 inch HD Retina display with a screen resolution of 1334 x 750. The iPhone 6 Plus has a much bigger screen display which is 5.5 inch. The Nexus 6 has only one size to offer, a 5.9 inch display with a screen resolution of 2392 x 1440. This is the biggest screen display among the three brands.
The iPhone 6 uses the 1.4 GHz dual core A8 processor with 1 GB of RAM. The M8 uses the 2.3 GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor RAM. The Nexus 6 is rumored to use the 2.65 GHz Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm. Nexus 6 will possibly have 3 GB of RAM.
Both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will offer 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB of internal memory. As usual, there is no micro SD slot or extended memory option in the iPhone 6. Both the Android powered M8 and Nexus 6 have only 32 GB of internal memory. However, the two do offer extended memory options with microSD cards slots available.
The M8 however, does not have a rear camera as powerful as the other two, it only has 4 MP. However, it does have a high 5 MP front camera resolution. The iPhone 6 has an 8 MP rear camera and a low 1.2 MP front camera. The Nexus 6 fared better with a 2MP resolution in its front camera and a whopping 13 MP resolution in its rear camera.
Based on a recent Benchmark test, the battery for the iPhone 6 is estimated to be at 1,800 mAh. The M8 has a battery capacity of 2,600 mAh and similar to the iPhone, the battery is non-removable. Since the Nexus 6 is basically a phablet, its battery is around 3,200 mAh.
The HTC One M8 is older but it still has plenty to offer. The iPhone 6 is already a hot item among consumers. No doubt the upcoming Nexus 6 will have a strong consumer demand by the time it is released.
