Which Phablet Is Better? iPhone 6 Plus vs Nexus 6 Specs Comparison - Google and Motorola Set to Join in Big Smartphone Showdown
Proving that the game is not over yet, search engine-giant together with its tech-company partner is set to release a phablet bigger than Apple's largest handset. Wall Street Journal reported that Google is set to launch its newest smartphone, Nexus 6 this month.
Citing information from sources, the report said that the Google and Motorola's co-produced Nexus 6 will have a 5.9-inch screen. In case this is true, the newest flaghip phablet of the two companies will be bigger than Apple's iPhone 6 Plus that has a 5.5-inch display.
Gotta Be Mobile also reported that Nexus 6, with the codename Shamu that refers to a shark, can potentially be a good rival for the newly release iPhone 6 series. With its bigger screen and latest Android operating system, Nexus 6 can surely join the competition in smartphone market and even win.
Although there are no confirmation yet from the search engine company, specifications of their latest phone has flood the web for some time now. Below are some of the details that tech lovers and potential buyers need to know:
Aside from a Nexus bigger screen with 2392 x 1440 resolution, according to Franchise Herald, Nexus 6 is rumored to have a better processor compared to Apple's newest flagship smartphone. Google and Motorola Nexus 6 is set to have a neck-breaker high speed Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that runs at 2.65 GHz. iPhone 6 plus, on the other hand, is equipped with dual core A8 processor that runs at 1.4 GHz.
'Shamu' will also have a bigger RAM at 3GB compared to 6 plus' 1GB RAM capacity. Apple's iPhone 6 plus may have several available storage capacity, 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB, but Nexus 6 will have a micro SD slot available for expanding its 32 GB internal memory.
Nexus 6 is also set to have a better camera at 13MP and 2MP compared to iPhone 6 plus' 8MP rear and 1.2 front camera. Google's newest and biggest phone will also have a better battery which is said to be 3200 mAh while iPhone 6 is powered by 1800 mAh battery.
Both Nexus 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are considered phablets. Phablets are smartphone with more than 5 inches screens. Samsung is a Korea-based company that has launched the first well-received phablet, the Galaxy Note.
With the ongoing tough competition in phablet market, Nexus 6 will be Google's card against Apple's iPhone 6 plus. Because it will go directly against a well-known brand, Google is said to have a lower price for its Nexus 6. iPhone 6 plus starts at $749 in U.S. without a contract and Nexus can be expectedly priced lower than this.
