'The Flash' Spoilers: Successful Premiere Tagged as CW's Highest-Rating Debut Yet; Time Travel and Secrets Set to Be Main Theme - New Metahuman Villains Will Be Introduced
Superheroes are not for big screens only. While Batman, Superman, Captain America, and many other heroic characters have their movie line-up coming, an equally powerful superhero will have his premiere in the television screens.
After gaining a high-rating premiere episode, CW released a video teaser of "The Flash" television series, International Business Times reported. A one-minute trailer that shows key scenes for The Flash's first season's first six episodes was released by the show's producer.
"The Flash" premiere episode garnered 1.8 rating with 4.5 million viewers and because of its high debut statistics, "The Flash" is tagged as the series with the highest-rating premiere on the CW in six years.
Aside from new villains that will be introduced according to the show's spoilers, there will also be a love triangle between Arrow, Felicity and Barry. "Time travel is going to play a big part in the overall series, but one of the things that we will discover is that time is mutable," he said in an interview.
As "The Flash" second episode titled the "Fastest Man Alive" will be aired on Tuesday, October 14, more secrets and aspects of the show are being revealed online. MTV reported that "The Flash" series' key secrets will surely affect the show's screenplay.
"The Flash" premiered with a clear introduction of key character revolving around Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin. After being accidentally struck in a lightning storm, the normal Allen gained super speed making him "The Flash." The incident will brought the major change in the lives of the show's characters.
After gaining super power, Barry Allen turned into a 'metahuman' which means a mortal with super powers. The show tried to be humorous in terms of Allen's mishaps in using his newfound skill. "The Flash" character will also be against his co-metahumans that possess their own set of powers.
Its first season will also feature several mysteries that will further unfold as the episodes continue. This includes Allen's three dads and Harrison Wells secrets. Captain Cold is also set to be a villain that will give more dilemmas to "The Flash."
Aside from the Flash's numerous events and secrets that will unfold, Cartermatt reported that the fusioned-hero "Firestorm" is set to be introduced in "The Flash" series. 'Alias' alumni Victor Garber and Robbie Ammel are set to be the halves of the anticipated metahuman.
Aside from Firestorm, Girder, Captain Cool, Heat Wave, and Shrapnel are the confirmed DC characters that will be making their TV debut in "The Flash."
