Facebook Latest News, Updates: Facebook to Challenge Samsung and Apple With a New Health-Sector Venture
Currently, Facebook is searching for something that would provide users with health conditions, a community for online support apart from the latest health apps that are not directly tied to Facebook. For the meantime, Google, the giant company, embarked a mission to uncover what comprises a healthy individual. According to some sources, Facebook has the intention to enter in the health industry, a path currently traveled by two giant manufacturers, Samsung and Apple. Facebook seeks to begin its access into the health sector by providing sufficient online support communities designed for users who are currently suffering from different health complications, medical conditions and so on. Facebook has also plans of creating health apps apart from these online support communities, to supply health information that can be uploaded to different social network sites to be shared with users, either privately, publicly or with a certain group.
Facebook has already found that most users are willing to provide health information in different services, and share health details from Facebook's health apps on network. The obstacle that Facebook will encounter is the mission to provide the social media a health revolution concerning user privacy. It comes without a doubt that Facebook today has become a Big Brother. On top of that, Facebook has come to be known of forcing users to provide Facebook Messenger app to send messages to contacts. While some users can log in to Facebook through Safari, Chrome, or other browsers, those who wish to use the mobile core app are not capable to text contacts from the parent app starting from now.
Recently, Facebook also responded attacks on the LGBT community by saying publicly that all LGBT members can choose whatever name they want under their profile. The S-Health app from Samsung also features aspect from social media whereby some users engaging the S-Health app through their smartphone, the collection of Gear smartwatch (1, 2, 2 Neo, Gear Fit, and the upcoming Gear S) are available via Facebook. The HealthKit apps in Apple allows iOS users to trace health information like glucose sugar levels, blood pressure, weight, cholesterol, etc.
The new health mission has made Facebook to push beyond their limits and become just a downloadable mobile app.
