'Boardwalk Empire' Season 5 Recap: Kennedy Cuts the Rope on Rum Deal with Nucky
HBO television series "Boardwalk Empire's" fifth and final season premiered on Sept. 7.
"Boardwalk Empire" is an American period crime drama television series, based on the book "Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times and Corruption of Atlantic City" written by Nelson Johnson.
Created by Terence Winter, the series is set in Atlantic City, New Jersey during the Prohibition Era.
"Boardwalk Empire" stars Steve Buscemi as Enoch "Nucky" Thompson, a political figure who rose to prominence and controlled Atlantic City in New Jersey during the Prohibition Era of the 1920s and early 1930s. Season 5 takes place during the Great Depression in 1931, detailing the childhood and young adulthood of Thompson.
The series is to air eight episodes and is set to conclude on Oct. 26.
In the previous episode entitled "What Jesus Said," Chalky and Milton, being runaway convicts, seek protection in a house. Then, take the mother and daughter there as captives.
Working for the Commodore, young Nucky learns how to work hard and push. Then, he meets young Mabel.
Margaret is clarified for interrogating about her boss' death and Arnold Rothstein's name. Nucky advances with his rum dealing and joint with his new partner, Joseph Kennedy.
Meanwhile, Luciano and Siegel sit down with Dr. Valentin Narcisse, who is Chalky White's old competition. They force him into a refuge agreement. Narcisse refuses the agreement, leading Luciano and Sigel to attack one of his brothels. After Milton tries to stifle one of the hostages, he was killed by Chalky. Margaret finds Nucky after a blazing conversation with Rothstein's widow, who threatens to sue Margaret for money she thinks Rothstein gave her.
In episode 4 on Sept. 28 entitled "Cuanto," Nucky and Margaret stirred up so as to deal with the threats from Mrs. Rothstein.
Luciano goes to Chicago, with an attempt to take Al Capone into the fold. However, his attempt fails. He recognizes Van Alden as the prohibition agent ten years way back in New Jersey. Mueller begs to spare his life after Capone sticks a gun in his mouth. After that, Capone spares him. Joseph Kennedy removes the plug on the rum deal with Nucky, sayin "scotch and rum don't really mix." Meanwhile, Sally is halted by the Cuban federal patrol but she struggled. She is accidentally shot and killed by one of the patrol guards.
