Percy Jackson 3: Still No News On Whether 'The Titan's Curse' Will Be Adapted For Film
The Percy Jackson 3 movie release date is October 23, 2015, but that is only according to a rumor that has been picked up and is being passed around the web by On The Flix. As far as 20th Century Fox is concerned, there is no Percy Jackson 3 news announcement that has been officially issued.
The Percy Jackson 3 full movie, when, or if, it were to be green-lit for production, will likely be a film adaptation of "The Titan's Curse," the third novel in Rick Riordan's five-book "Percy Jackson & the Olympians" epic saga. The first (The Lightning Thief) and second (The Sea of Monsters) books have already been made into the Percy Jackson 1 and the Percy Jackson 2 movies. The first film was a commercial success, the second not so much. The fourth and fifth books in the Rick Riordan pentalogy are entitled "The Battle of the Labyrinth" and "The Last Olympian," respectively.
For those who just want to find out what happened to the young demigod following the conclusion of "The Sea of Monsters" film adaptation, they can simply read the Percy Jackson 3rd book which on Amazon retails for $14.42 for hardcover and $5.24 for paperback. There are also Percy Jackson 3 pdf and Percy Jackson 3 epub formats that they can be browse or download for free from the internet.
Obviously, there is still no Percy Jackson 3 cast yet at this point, since even the now 22-year old Logan Lerman who plays the title role, according to The Independent, said "I've never heard anything and it's been a while since the second one was released, so I just haven't heard anything about a third film. Unless they call me I think it's unlikely...If I was 30, sure I'd play Percy again." He added though, "If we want to make a third one, I have to do it. I'm contractually obligated to three movies. I love those movies, they're a lot of fun to make." In the chronology of events in the Riordan books, Percy Jackson should be just around 14 years old following his 'The Sea of Monsters' adventure. Lerman may be getting past the age to play a credible Percy Jackson should the studios decide to wait a while longer before they adapt 'The Titan's Curse" to film.
