'Community 6' Latest Update: Another Star Not Returning For the Next Season - Find Out Why

Fans received a bad news back in May 2014 saying that Community is not coming back for the next season. The woes of fans have been responded to. Instead of cancelling the show totally, the show's latest season is going to be shown on Yahoo! Screen - streaming online.

Still, there are going to be changes. First, Yvette Nicole Brown will not be returning to the latest season of "Community Season 6" anymore. She's joining fellow actors Donald Glover and Chevy Chase, who left the show on this season.

Brown personally asked Sony to release her from her contract due to "personal reasons," of which executive producers Dan Harmon and Chris McKenna readily granted. It was later found out that her personal reason is taking care of her dad. "My dad needs daily care and he needs me. The idea of being away 16 hours a day for five months, I couldn't do it. It was a difficult decision for me to make, but I had to choose my dad," she shared.

Harmon and McKenna said that even though they are sad about Brown's departure, they understand why Brown arrived at the decision not to return to "Community Season 6" and that they wish her all the best. The duo said in a statement, "Yvette was an integral part of Community and is irreplaceable. We are sad to see her go."

Brown can appear as a guest star though, so fans need not be sad. Since she left the show "in good terms," it's possible that Brown can still be invited do some episodes. The actress said that she's open to the idea. She added, "I am totally open to whatever Dan decides. I'm glad it won't be hard for them to explain where she is. She has three kids, a degree and a business. There are a lot of ways to explain her [departure]."

The show's loyal fan base is the main reason why "Community" was renewed for another season. There are also some rumors flying around that people behind the camera are working hard to make a "Community" movie possible.
