Star Wars Episode VIII Spoilers: Release will be in 2017, Rian: Director
Filmmaker Rian Johnson announced that he has started the work for "Star Wars Episode VIII," It will be followed by JJ Abrams's "Star Wars Episode VII" and that set to be releasing on December 18, 2015. On June, Lucas film and Disney announced that, Rian Johnson will write and direct the movie, Star Wars Episode VIII; he the maker of Looper. Recently Rian commented that he feels a direct connection to the "Star Wars" franchise.
"For me, personally, I grew up not just watching those movies but playing with those toys," he said. "So growing up, the first movies I was making in my head were set in the Star Wars world. Honestly, it's the most fun I've ever had writing, it's just joyous," the director added of Episode VIII. Johnson went on to disclose that Lucasfilm only had one requirement for his upcoming movie, NDTV reports.
"Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and her whole creative team have been so insistent on all the filmmakers they've been hiring for these new movies. They say, 'We want you to take it, and turn it into something that you really care about'," he said. "We'll see how the process plays out, but so far, that's a big part of the reason I'm in it, because that just seems like their attitude towards it. It's really exciting, actually," he added.
Star Wars Episode VII, filming is going on under JJ Abram, but there arise a confusion regarding the director. The rumor says Star Wars Episode VII, will be directed by David Fincher, the director of "The Gone Girl. As per the report, he was visited Disney to discuss more details on blockbuster franchise and expected to bring with a movie about C-3PO and R2-D2 witnessing 'the folly of man'. He also revealed that he would consider directing Star Wars: Episode VII. Fincher visited Kathleen Kennedy, the president of the Lucas Film to discuss the movie project, Fincher told Total Film. He also says that he will have a different approach to the movie and it will be quite different from JJ Abram's preparation.
