iPhone 6 vs. Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini: What are the Things to Consider?
Users always debate before buying a handset, whether it will be the popular brand Samsung or iPhone. Today, choosing a handset could be a daunting task. With the succeeding upgrades of the models, buying one makes it a little bit complicated. What are the things to consider?
Recently, iPhone came out with its flagship iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that created a lot of craze over the potential users. This was proven by the successful pre-order of the gadgets happening worldwide. Galaxy S5 was then launched earlier in July and harboring its own base of customers around the globe.
S5 Mini is the successor to S4 Mini (2013) and sporting the look much of its bigger brother, the S5. It has maintained the fax- metal band on its body and the polycarbonate rear that is a mark of S5. While most users prefer S5, the mini version has specs close to that of iPhone6. Now the battle means, will it going to be iPhone 6 vs. Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini?
Hardware
S5 is powered by a quadcore processor with 1.4 GHz and 1.5 GB RAM. It has built-in memory of 16GB and can be added with external 64GB memory. On the other hand, iPhone6 is operated by 64-bit dual core A8 chip set at 1.4 GHz. It has 1GB RAM. The phone memory can be upgraded up to 128 GB. The Apple flagship device also comes in 16GB and 64GB variants.
The Samsung Mini version is running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat, and supports NFC Technology and 4G LTE network. It is also designed with IR Blaster giving the capability to control any infrared devices. Fingerprint scanner is also present in Mini. All of these features can be found also in iphone 6 except that it's running on iOS8.
Design
The Mini version of S5 has kept the same design except that it looks thicker than S5. It has measure of 9.1 mm which is relatively chunkier than its contemporaries. It has a 4.5-inch display with 720 x 1280 resolution and delivers the same density as of the iPhone 6.
iPhone 6 boasts a larger 4.7 screen and owning a resolution of 750 x 1334. It weighs 138x67x6.9 and weighs 129 grams. With the design of S5 that looks the same as of its big brother, it just means that it's made of plastic. For this it fails to mesmerize the bigger users and failed to enter the premium level where iPhone still owns.
Price
S5 comes at a price far cheaper than iPhone 6 at a price of $400. Apple flagship device costs $650 with 16 GB.
