Stalker, CBS New Show: If Too Disturbing, Scary, Eerie,... Just Change The Channel, Says Showrunner
Stalker, CBS new TV series about a pair of detectives investigating stalking incidents, release date is on October 1, Wednesday, at the 10 PM time slot. Created by Kevin Williamson, the Stalker TV show will open "with what is almost certain to be the most disturbing first three minutes for any broadcast TV drama this fall," according to the NY Daily News.
During the panel discussion at the Television Critics Association July press tour, Williamson, who also created The Vampire Diaries and The Following, described his upcoming new Stalker CBS TV show for the 2014-2015 season as "a scary, eerie show because of the nature of the storylines. And I'm not going to shy away from it. The Following...was a popcorn thriller, a page turner. But ('Stalker')is a crime drama. It's about the victims and the stalkers and the unit that investigates these crimes. You watch the good guys catch the bad guys." For those who may find the graphic violence too disturbing, Williamson's simple advice is: "Turn the channel."
The new Stalker series on CBS stars Maggie Q as Lieutenant Beth Davis and Dylan McDermott as Detective Jack Larsen who are both assigned at the Threat Assessment Unit of the LAPD which is responsible for acting on reported incidents of stalking. Maggie Q (whose full name is Margaret Denise Quigley) is best known for her portrayal of the title role on The CW's hit TV show Nikita. She also appears on the big screen and some of the more memorable Maggie Q movies include Priest, Mission Impossible III, Live Free or Die Hard, and the Divergent Series. Dylan McDermott's appeared in the first two seasons of American Horror Story, in the drama series Hostages and Dark Blue.
