OBB Looks to the "Bright Side" with New Album

OBB will be releasing their full-length album for Curb Records on September 30 "Bright Side." Comprised of brothers Zach (lead vocals/keys/guitar), Jacob (lead guitar) and Nich Oswald (drums), OBB rocketed into the spotlight last year with a GMA Dove Award nomination and a slot on NewSong's juggernaut Winter Jam Tour Spectacular, opening for some of the biggest acts in Christian music.
The album is already preceded by their latest single "That Kind of Faith," which encapsulates OBB's ultimate desire to encourage and motivate listeners. "Jesus talks a lot about faith, and our faith makes us whole," the band's Nich Oswald says. "It's our faith in Jesus that determines how we live. Peter walked on water because of faith. I want to do the impossible. I want that kind of faith."
Produced by Justin Ebach, the project features 12 selections co-written by the Atlanta-based pop band. The project also addresses themes of pursuit ("Up Close And Personal"); praise ("Who Cares If We're Dancing"); forgiveness ("Gone"); and gratitude ("All Eyes On You," "Your Love Is An Ocean"), topics inspired by the band's noted loyal fan base.
"The album is primarily about grace and forgiveness," OBB's Zach Oswald says. "The title track speaks of choosing to not only look at life on the bright side, but to choose to live life on the Bright Side."
"I feel God has really given me a hunger for more of Him, to tell everyone I can about His love and grace," band member Jacob Oswald says. "I'm learning to say through song what God has called me to say."
OBB is currently performing selections from Bright Side as co-headliners of the "While We're Young" Tour, also featuring 1 Girl Nation. The fall outing is hitting such markets as Jacksonville, Florida; Jamestown, New York; Marietta, Georgia; and Hagerstown, Maryland, among other cities.
