'American Horror Story' FX Season 4 Spoilers, Adds Skyler Samuel to Cast and New Extended Trailer Released, Watch Here (VIDEO)
"American Horror Story: Freak Show" (Season 4) premieres in less then a month on FX and another cast addition has been revealed. Skyler Samuels from "Nine Lives of Chloe King" will be joining the show for a 'major' recurring role for the upcoming season. She earned a Teen Choice Award nomination for her role on the hit ABC Family show.
FX also released an extended trailer last week to let you 'see whats under the big top'. They released the trailer on their official Facebook page, which you can watch now HERE.
"American Horror Story" Season 4 titled 'Freak Show' premieres on Wednesday, October 8th at 10/9c.
Season 4 will be set in Jupiter, Florida in the 1950s and filmed in New Orleans for the second year in a row. Creator Murphy stated, "If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there's some more clues in that year. It's a period piece. We try and do the opposite of what we've done before. Jessica Lange has already started practicing her German accent so I'm very excited!"
Murphy revealed the newest cast addition for Season 4 'Freak Show' on Twitter. He posted the picture above with the caption, (@MrRPMurphy) "Jessica and our newest cast member Jyoti Amge...the world's smallest woman."
Amge, 20, stands just over 2 feet tall. The Indian-born actress is considered the world's shortest woman by both the Guiness and Limca books of world records. Amge has appeared both in a 2009 documentary about her called Body Shock and on an Indian reality TV show that's somewhat similar to "Big Brother."
For those who remember Pepper (played by Naomi Grossman in "Asylum") she could be back since Season 4 takes place before the 1964-set "Asylum." They may reveal Pepper's origin story and how she ended up a Briarcliff. Two other actors listed below Grossman on the call sheet, Christopher Neiman as Salty (Salty and Pepper sound like a circus act duo to us) and Ben Woolf as Meep, both look similar and like their characters may be other microcephalics or related to Pepper.
John Carroll Lynch ("The Americans") was also named on the call sheet to play Twisted Clown, and Grace Gummer, who had a small part in "Coven," to play Penny the Candy Striper. Also, Lange's character will be Elsa Mars, Kathy Bates will play Ethel Darling, and Evan Peter's is set to play her son, Jimmy Darling.
Other new characters recently announced include Michael Chiklis. Show creater Ryan Murphy revealed to TVLine, that Michael Chiklis will play a "strong man" who is married to Angela Bassett's character. "He has scenes with Angela and Jessica Lange and (onscreen ex) Kathy Bates," the series creator told the website. "I love the part because it's really written to be quite vulnerable, which is something I think Michael does so well - the strong man who's vulnerable. I'm very excited to see [him] tussle with all those great ladies. And he's really up for it, really excited about it."
Sarah Paulson will also play two-headed twins named Bette and Dot in Season 4 "Freak Show." Paulson revealed the major "American Horror Story" Season 4 spoiler on Twitter that she will play two-headed conjoined twins. She posted a Photoshopped image of her with two heads writing, "So excited to be playing Bette AND Dot this season. Two heads are better than one!" However, that is not what she will look exactly like in Season 4.
